You certainly get what you pay for with this tour- we saw quite a few humpback whales, many were fairly close to the boat. It was my first time seeing whales and it was definitely worth doing. However make sure you wrap up warm, and you will be out for a few hours in the boat so bear that in... More

We found the perfect idea, I wanted to get on the water , even just to say I did, in January, and we both wanted to tour the freedom trail, so instead of a cab, and starting outside the front door of our hotel, we took the very nearby water shuttle to the very top of the trail, perfect drop... Hi and thanks for the review DeniseBeth. So glad to hear that you decided to come aboard the Shuttle and that you enjoyed your ride. Boston in the winter can scare some people away from the water but the boats are heated and the views are great anytime of year. Thanks again and hope to see you again next time... More

My family and I went on a tour of the harbor while in town one weekend. The tour was extremely educational, and there were interesting facts to learn in every corner of the harbor. The tour took 45 minutes, and we waited in line for about thirty minutes. It was worth the wait!

As tourists we both enjoyed the beautiful views of Boston Harbor, the novelty of the ride and the knowledge and wit of the guide. He spoke just the right amount -- keeping us informed and entertained, but also giving us time to enjoy the motion, the air and the sunset. Loved seeing the lights of Boston come up!

So the girls wanted to do a harbor tour when we came out for the day to Boston. The box office was conveniently located and the people were excellent and friendly. We lucked out bigtime as the weather was unseasonably warm and mild. The tour was highly informative and any question that was asked was answered clearly. I would recommend... More

There is plenty of room on the deck for everyone to get a good view. The guide is very entertaining and knowledgeable. We had a lovely day for our tour which is an obvious bonus.

Large parking lot, there is a fee. Ferry cost $18.50 round trip. We stayed at Nantasket Beach Resort & used this as our way to get into Boston. Pleasent ride and aviods the traffic and drive. We were droped off in Boston at Rowes wharf, not to far from aquarium and Quincy Market. In December it does not run on... More

When the weather is nice, the ferry to Salem is part of the adventure to visit Salem. They schedule the outbound/inbound trips perfectly! Just enough to time to have lunch and see the town. Why drive when you can take the ferry?

We visited on a Boston City Pass combining the cruise with a visit to the adjacent aquarium. On a dull, wet and quiet midweek morning we were still shocked to find we were the only guests on the entire boat for today's 11am cruise. Even so Devlin, our narrator, gave an enlightening and entertaining commentary throughout. We learned so much... More

Did this tour last Sunday morning. Our tour guide Declan was very knowledgeable, engaging and good fun. It was very relaxing and was a lovely way to see the Boston Skyline from a different angle. Would highly recommend this tour. Good value and a nice way to spend an hour.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
