We took the half day Cambridge, Lexington and Concord tour booked via Viator. The tour was ok. We visited Harvard Yard for 30 mins: before driving off to Lexington and then Concord usually stopping again for about 30 mins apiece at the visitor centres. There is not too much at either site though it's interesting to learn about the events... More

Graylines Boston ran a great bus tour of the city with entertaining comedy and the complimentary boat cruise made it even better. Our only inconvenience was that Graylines did NOT pick-up or drop-off at the Boston cruise-ship port – BUT READ ON. Even though we were low season in early October, the crowds became active after 11.00 am and fellow... More

On 10-12-16 we took the day-trip New England Coastal Tour from Boston offered by Viator. The day started out on a sour note with the bus arriving 30 minutes ahead of time. The only reason we knew that it was there was because we were still eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant and saw it. After a contentious discussion with... More

We apologize for the issues you experienced while on your tour to the Seacoast. We did have a newer guide on for the tour this day due to a scheduling problem in operations. We try to do our best in these situations, but I understand your frustration. Overall this tour gets rave reviews so I don't think it needs reevaluation.... More

Visited the town of Plymouth and the plantation of Plimoth. Bob took great care of us and even recommended a great restaurant in town and made reservations for us so we could get right in.

Took a coach tour out of Boston from Brush Hill Tours down to see 2 of the Guilded Era Mansions and tour the historic town of Newport. We booked the tour thru Viator.com. Hotel pick-up and departure went according to plan. The trip was about an hour and a half narrated coach ride down to Newport with our driver Dave... More

We spent the day with Mark as our driver. Mark was extremely, knowledgeable and provided a great overview of the area. Our cruise was equally good if a touch chilly. On the way back to Boston Mark stopped at the Monument to the Forefathers The monument is apparently older than the statue of liberty (looks very similar except she doesn't... More

My boyfriend and I booked a day tour from Boston to Salem with Brush Hill Tours and, all I have to say, is that their driver/guide Bob is absolutely amazing! He really did make the trip great, because, without him, I'm not sure how impressed I would have been. Unfortunately, our bus was supposed to pick us up at 8:45a.m.,... More

Wonderful day- Where do we start? Fabulous tour guide (Ron) & excellent driver, an ideal itinerary, a superb lunch (additional very reasonable cost)& the most fabulous scenery that will live with us forever. The two guys looking after us were considerate, caring and attentive for the whole duration of our tour. Absolutely first class.

Our Boston Total Experience tour on Oct 7 was fantastic! Our driver, Frankie, was the very informative, patient, and always amusing. He covered exactly what was promised on the tour, kept us on time, but allowed enough time to visit at each stop. If you have never visited Boston, we recommend this all day tour as one of the first... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
