Great day, even without the optional island tour (which we would do next time). Kevin our driver was great, he arrived on time, picked us up from the Marriott Long Wharf. He gave very thorough instructions, made sure we all understood how the day would go. We were given a package per group, with a booklet that included a map of the island, bottled water and a cereal bar, our tickets for the ferry etc. We were socially distanced and were required to wear our mask the whole time. We made a stop at a rest area, which I was so grateful for traveling with elderly parents. Along the way he explained different areas and he was so knowledgable!! We still made it to the dock a bit early so he was kind enough to take us around and show us some of the area. When on the island, being that it is October and of course COVID, it was empty and it was raining but we made the best of it. The ride home was much of the same...a little quieter. It was a great excursion, I would would book with them again!

Thank you for taking some of your valuable time to write this extremely informative 5 star review. We certainly believe that we do offer the best way to get to Martha's Vineyard from Boston. Our guides are very well versed in the New England, Boston and Cape Cod area's, all having years of tour guide experience. We try to make the trip enjoyable and fun as if we are traveling with a group of our closest friends. I am glad that you enjoyed your day despite the weather. We would love for you to join us again on Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard day trip or another one of our New England Trips! Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

We had a fantastic time on this trip! I will say there is a lot of driving involved, so if that’s not your thing you may not enjoy it as much. For us, after 2.5 days of walking all over Boston and Salem, we needed some down time but still wanted to get out and see things, so this was perfect! I love that we were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel. Easy peasy! Then we had a pit stop at McDonald’s for breakfast. On to Cape Cod to catch the ferry. We had about 30 minutes to walk around before the ferry headed to Martha’s Vineyard. It was about 40 minutes to get there. We did opt for the 3 hour island tour, which I always enjoy. It’s fun to hear all of the info the tour guide shares. And we got to see so much more of the island than we’d see on our own. Once that was done, we had a few hours to get lunch and do some more exploring. Back to the ferry and the long drive home. We definitely had a great day seeing Martha’s Vineyard! I would even do the same tour again :)

Thank you for taking the time to write this FANTASTIC 5 Star Review! I am happy to hear that you had such a wonderful and relaxing day! There certainly is a bit of travel involved to get to Martha's Vineyard from Boston but we believe that it is well worth the journey. Our guides do a great job of making the bus part of the trip both informative and fun. Tom on the island is also in a class of his own when it comes to island knowledge. Thank you again for the review and hopefully we'll see you again on another New England Trip! Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Our trip was great because Ken, who drove us to Martha’s Vineyard, was friendly and knowledgeable. Tom drove us around the island and, since he is a native, he had a bunch of stories to share. It was a great one day excursion

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and on time! Tom was amazing and was so gracious. His knowledge of the history of the island was truly amazing! We had an amazing day! The price was excellent as well. If we took an Uber from Boston and then the ferry by ourselves it would have cost about the same price...and that would not have included the private tour. This trip is an amazing bargain!!

Thank you for taking the time to write this EXCELLENT 5 Star Review! Tom certainly is an amazing tour guide and his knowledge of the island is matched by few. We believe our trip is very fairly priced. There is not a more convenient, better priced option (including the perks) to get to Martha's Vineyard roundtrip from Boston. I am glad that you and your wallet enjoyed your day with us! Thank you again! Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

The tour involves lots of driving only. You are driven 2.5 hours to the ferry. You cross the ferry, another driver picks you up drives you around for 3 hours with lots of history. You get to get out twice to tour the lighthouse That’s about it. Than you are dropped off at the ferry site where you have time for lunch and get back to the other side where your tour operator picks you up and more driving. Basically you spent most of your time in the van. However the tour operators and the driver s were excellent. The service was wonderful.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. There are a few things that you failed to disclose, let me explain to ensure our potential guests get an accurate description of their day. 1. We pickup early to ensure we get to the ferry on a timely basis. 2. The drive to get to the ferry is approximately 75 miles and is not a 2.5 hour drive. We usually (based upon timing) will do some touring of the beautiful Cape Cod town of Falmouth on the way to the ferry and even make a stop at a lighthouse, which our guests usually love and appreciate. 3. You have 5.5 to 6 hours on the island based upon the ferry we are using that particular day. 4. Within the 5.5 to 6 hours on the island we offer an optional 3 hour narrated bus tour of the island. Key word being OPTIONAL. If you are someone that doesn't want to spend time in a vehicle then my suggestion would be not to take the island tour. Problem with that being the island is 100 square miles and you'd never be able to see all of it's beauty and learn about it's history without taking the tour. You would then miss out on the highlight of the majority of our guests day trip. What this review failed to mention, is you are out of the vehicle for an hour of the 3 hours exploring on your own during the tour. Thank you for letting our future guests know how wonderful our guides are. 5. After the tour you have approximately 2.5 hours of free time for lunch and whatever else you choose to do. Unless you have a very long lunch it is usually plenty of free time. 6. Once you take the return ferry we do need to drive you back to Boston as that is a necessary part of the journey. 7. All in all, to get to Martha's Vineyard from Boston involves some travel. We try to make it enjoyable for our guests and judging by all of our positive 4 and mostly 5 star reviews, we do a great job of it.. I appreciate your input, though perhaps your day would have been more enjoyable if you opted not to take the island tour as some do. There are many wonderful ways to spend your time on the island if you choose not to take the tour. Either way New England Trips would love to have any future guests join us on Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard Day Trip! Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
