Me and my husband are big history buffs and took a trip to Boston to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary. We took the ghost and graveyard tour and had a blast!! They were entertaining, interactive crew that played into everyone, and we were excited they had so much knowledge in the history of the city which just played into our... More

The allure was the black decorated trolley pulling up curbside with costumed ghouls flanking its sides...In Boston on Halloween weekend, it seemed like a no-brainer. When we called that very evening, we were told only 2 of the next day tours were available and we chose one. When we arrived for the tour, excited to be entertained by eerie characters... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry the trolley wasn't decorated and that this made the experience a negative one. Halloween weekend is very busy and we use a number of extra trolleys to accommodate guests. It’s how we were able to get you on board. It was an accident that this one trolley wasn’t... More

This tour was awesome. The decorated trolley and guides dressed up and in character made it an EXPERIENCE not just a tour. It was so interesting and entertaining with a hint of surprise. I did a ghost tour in New Orleans and while interesting, it didn't hold a candle to this tour! Would totally recommend it!!

This tour is hilarious or at least Lily Winters was. The trolley is super neat. The tour is not really scary however it is narrated. Lily shared several stories (haunting ones) while we visited three cemetaries. I won't spoil the events but it was fun and interesting. Great way to spend an evening in Boston with young kids or teenagers!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We took the 9:00 pm trip so the traffic was light, making our slow drive through the city even more enjoyable. The tour guides were excellent. We laughed a lot and learned even more about the parts of Boston history you won't find in most guidebooks. We felt this was well worth the money!

This was a fun tour of two very old burying grounds and other sights of interest along the way. Dottie played her guide role well mixing humor, history, and fun into the 1.5 hour tour. If you are worried about it being scary, no-one jumps out and grabs you in the graveyards or anything like that. It's just a fun... More

Interesting, darned creepy, a ton of fun. The actors performed their parts well, and made the whole experience worthwhile. After walking all over the North End by day, a trolley ride was the way to go for this night time adventure!

This tour was excellent. Our host, Mercy, was great! The weather was cold and wet, but she gave her all. The tour is a mix of humor and horror. There is a historical nature to it, but it is more fun than a wide tour of Boston. See tomb stones from the 1690s is very cool and the accompanying ghost... More

I have yet to go on the actual tour-we are scheduled for halloween night- but I'm writing this review in regards to their customer service. I was having trouble pulling up my e-ticket several months after I purchased it so I called the main office in Boston. The woman who answered the phone said that she couldn't pull up records... Let me start by saying we were so excited about this tour and we read all the reviews on this stating how great it was.. I just have to wonder if those reviews where on the same tour?! We paid $40. per person and thought this was going to be scary and fun. Basically in a nutshell we went to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
