Another statue

This is just another statue in a city with a ton of them. You wouldn't come here to see this statue. You'd cone for the Bunker Hill monument, and maybe notice this statue.

It was a nice statue and cool building but there wasn't much to see besides. Most people only went through to get to climb the Bunker Hill monument.

Within the monument lodge upon Bunker Hill you can find the Statue of General Joseph Warren. This historical figure is considered a hero of the famous Battle of Bunker Hill. Unfortunately, Warren was killed during the battle but his sacrifice was recognised as an embodiment of the young nations struggle for independence from the British. The statue shows a stately... Just another statue. There is nothing to say about it. It's located at the Bunker Hill monument, in the 1st floor close to the entrance area. The exhibition is not very interesting either.

The statue of Lt General Dr Joseph Warren is located in the exhibit lodge at the base of the Bunker Hill Memorial on the summit of Breed’s Hill (where the battle actually took place) in Charleston. Newly elected as Lt General, Dr Warren was the hero of the Battle of Bunker Hill and was killed leading from the front, rallying... More

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
