Visited Arnold Arboretum this week. Beautiful place for a walk. Lilac blooms. The grounds are well maintained. Easy parking (on a weekday).

While visiting my son we enjoyed walking the grounds as the buds were just coming out on the trees. The Forsythia was out heralding the coming Spring, The park was very serene this early in the season. We noticed patches of blue flowers and wished...More

Established in 1872, this arboretum is a great break from the noise of the city. Nature trails rule here. Stop by the Visitor Center (Hunnewell Building) to learn more about their collections. Admission is free of charge but donations are welcomed.

This Boston neighborhood feels like a distinct
community unique and separate from the bustle of other
areas. Beautiful Victorian homes, restaurants with an
emphasis on being eco-friendly and providing local and
organic food, and a large Hispanic community. Visit
Centre and South streets for restaurants, cafes, and
little shops. The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful,
large green space well worth a visit if you venture to

No picnic grounds since outside the Arboretum are city streets. They do have bathrooms in the info center.
