During the day Chinatown is unique and exciting, so many food options. After dark though I didn't feel safe walking around - arguments, drug deals, maybe prostitution? We were in the area because we found an AirBnB for a couple nights, we won't stay there...More

What surprised me most about Chinatown is a lot of restaurants are open even past 12:00 am. The atmosphere is nice although you will find a couple of homeless walking the street but they are harmful.

We took an evening stroll in this neighborhood of Chinese shops and restaurants. For some reasons, I was expecting something more from this as a tourist. The only thing that I remember from this whole visit is the big gate. I believe the best of...More

Wondered around Chinatown and quickly realized that it was nothing like Chinatown in NY or San Francisco for that matter. There's a few restaurants and shops, and the arch looks nice, but that's about it.

Hard to beat Chinatown in San Francisco but Boston is comparable. Great things to see everywhere. All sorts of food I don't recognize but I definitely want to try. For the sights, the sounds, the smells. You have to go!

If your looking for authentic Chinese food I suggest checking out Chinatown!!! My nephew and I picked a restaurant solely on the smell of the food and our noses did not steer us wrong! Wish I could remember the name, we arrived in the area...More

My best friend and I went to Chinatown not too long ago to wander around and go to one of their markets, as you can get things you wouldn't get in the stores we have back in our town. We had so much fun walking...More

The smells (good ones) reminded me of the various Chinatowns back home in Toronto. This was worth the visit (after being badly disappointed with Chicago's effort). There were 4 or 5 side streets in a small 4 or 5 block area with a nice mix...More

Compared to many other China towns in the world this was disappointing. Small and very little to see. Just loads of restaurants.

Boston Chinatown is not big by any mean however It is quite clean compared to other Chinatowns in the US. Chinese food both in variety and quality and taste is way more superior than San Francisco Chinatown. A quick subway ride from anywhere downtown will...More
