If you are looking for an outdoor space off the beaten path, try strolling through Pack Square Park. There is plenty of green space to walk around, play outdoors with your children, sunbathe on a blanket, walk your dog, or enjoy a picnic. Throughout the year there are also outdoor concerts and festivals. Children especially enjoy the outdoor water area... More

Asheville is one of the best places to visit in NC. It has just about everything you could want; the parking and driving is challenging, though. Watch out for the 240 which should be just a local highway. Lanes end abruptly and you can get confused initially. Pack Square is located to several places for fine and casual dining with... More

This seemed to be the center of the town and a gathering place for many. Our trolley driver explained something about this being the wagon trail but a mistake was made putting the animals going the wrong way. Not sure I got the story right but went back and took pictures.

This is a nice public area for people to walk, sun, or congregate. When we were here, it was evening and raining lightly, so there weren't any people hanging out. There were a lot of people walking through this area. Would like to see it in the sun; maybe next time.

Nice, artsy little area , but There are other parts of Asheville that are more appealing and interesting. If you have the time, it's worth a stop. If not, visit more interesting parts of the area

Nice park in the center of Asheville, it was the starting point of our self guided tour, but we got side tracked alot, very busy on saturdays.

Very nice outdoors space downtown well worth visiting. The weather was not great while I was in town so it was rather empty. I can imagine this place hops when the weather is nice.

The square shows complete economic diversity where a business man and a homeless man will be talking with no judgement. The food there is excellent! If you stay in Asheville this is an absolute Can't miss

Great place for small outside concerts and the larger surrounding promenade is good for city wide festivals, arts and craft shows, etc. Nice fountain area for kids in the summer.

This is a nice area that is located centrally in downtown Asheville. Many festivals and craft fairs are held in the square. It's also a good spot to find a public bathroom. Check out Pack's Tavern while there.
