More
Highland Brewing Company has crafted the highest quality beer with North Carolina mountain water since 1994. Family-owned and Asheville’s first legal brewery since Prohibition, it is a favorite destination for beer fans, music fans, and families. From the balanced, food-pairing favorite Gaelic Ale, to the tad aggressive, fruit and pine hop-burst of Highland IPA, the portfolio always showcases quality. Highland’s name honors the Scots Irish who settled in the Appalachian Mountains in the 18th and 19th centuries. To learn more about the nationally recognized solar array, tours, private events, free live music and more, visit the brewery for a pint or a tour!

Only reason for 4 is that I couldn't stay long enough to try other beers. The place is awesome, the decor is comfortable and inviting. The stout was excellent and they were spooling up for trivia night. Parking could be better, but lots going on...More

This is one of the original or oldest breweries in the town that has the most breweries per capita in the U.S. (or so I'm told...). We did a limited tour using recommendations and this one is worth the trip. Modern, large building with event...More

We were there Saturday after the Cold Mountain release it was pretty crowed. We found a spot on the roof top bar, it was cold but worth seeing the sunset.

We were there the night of the new Cold Mtn release! It was crowded but lots of fun! Been coming to Asheville for 8 years and was my first time here! I’ll be back!

You can't walk here from the south slope, but it is a short drive to this small brewery southeast of downtown where I-40 heads east. Industrial setting and facility, but climb the stairs to the rooftop bar and kickback with a beer and relaxing view...More

Came for JBT outdoor concert. One of the best venues I've ever been to! Small size outdoor venue to the right of the brewery. Offered some shade under pine trees - bring a blanket if they will let you. Some people had hammocks hanging up,...More
