Great showcase of the variety of local exhibitors, from incredible needlework to woodwork to ceramics, etc. Lots of well-laid out exhibits upstairs.

I'm so glad we stopped here on our way to Black Mountain. We started with the upper floor, which features museum-quality art and crafts by local folks, before heading downstairs to the gift shop. The shop carries a wide array of lovely items; we ended up purchasing a striking stained glass window depicting a moonscape, copper earrings, handmade Christmas ornaments,... More

First of all, the Southern Highland Craft Guild Folk Art Center is a beautiful building surrounded by beautiful scenery. Once inside, there were so many things to see, I didn't know where to start. A local basket artist was there displaying her work, including not yet finished baskets and answering any and all questions about how baskets are made. There... More

My wife & I stoped in to check out some of the local art. We purchased some beautiful hand made wooden earrings for my wife & a hand made glass Christmas tree ornament. This is a great place to purchase some local art & hand made goods.

The building is beautiful but the best part is the craft gallery and the crafts gift shop. So many beautiful handmade things to see!

This is such a gem in the Asheville area. The art is stunning, and there's something for everyone to enjoy. It's really awesome to see a representation of the artists in the area. If you can visit, you should visit- it's definitely worth it.

I rarely give anything a 5 rating, but this place certainly deserves it. It is located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and has lots of high quality crafts on display and for sale. You better bring a big wallet, though, because they are not giving any of it away and some can get very pricey.
