McCormick Field opened its gates for the first time in 1924 when the Asheville Tourists played host to the Detroit Tigers. Over the years the stadium has encountered numerous renovations, most recently a seating bowl makeover in 2015, that has ensured the stadium remains up with the times while keeping its lustrous history and throwback feel. With a capacity of just over 4,000, the dynamic during a game is intimate and scenic. It is a hitter friendly Minor League ballpark thanks to a short porch in right field and a 42-foot high wall in right-center. McCormick Field is still inhabited by the Asheville Tourists, the Single A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

Very clean, comfortable and just the right size. Very affordable - really no bad seat and we bought our tickets at the gate. Lots of great beers and food selections at a fraction of an MLB stadium cost. Kids will enjoy too with two mascots...More

We go to minor league games anytime we visit a place that has a team. This one is a blast. Only seats 4,000, so it's small and you can't get far from the action. Lots of food options, old fashioned ballpark fun.

Fun day at McCormick Field. (1/2 way meeting point from Charlotte, NC... to see family from Knoxville, TN) Employees were accommodating and helpful. Seats were great... and so was the weather!

There's always something special for kids there. On Sunday's the kids get to go on the field, meet the players and get autographs. Sometimes there's more. Show up early for more chances at special things going on.
