What can you say about a drive through the mountains of North Carolina, it’s not complete until you drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is truly God’s country, where else can you smell Gods breath, see with his eyes for miles and just wonder about our beautiful county. We drove for a few hours before heading home, my only... Enjoyed our drive.... The lack of leaves allowed for great views through the trees. Plenty of overlook viewing areas as well as entry and exit points to visit towns along the way.

Great clear weather and beautiful views from the Parkway today in the Asheville area. The traffic was very light. Highly recommend on a clear day.

Hard to believe a road like this exists in America. No stop signs, smooth road, peaceful and gorgeous views. Should go back an drive more of it. And camp too!

Enjoy the drive on the winding mountain roads, and stop at the overlooks along the way or hike the trails through the mountain side.

This route has beauty around every corner, especially in the fall when colors are turning. Waterfalls are located right at roadside in some places or a bit of a hike in others.

Trails and sites to see line the route, as do scenic overlooks, tunnels and pastures with horses and cattle. Fall foliage (despite the crowds) is a... More
