First of all, there is NOT a category for "Family with Adult Children" in TripAdvisor. This was a Mother & Adult Daughters trip to Biltmore Estate in September. We drove 2 hrs from Charlotte's airport & stayed at a lovely B&B. But that's another review....More

Just be prepared for the admission price, but it is an amazing place. So much fascinating history and the grounds are fantastic. We learned a lot on the tour. Only weak spot is the wine which is mediocre at best.

Pricy but first class service. You get what you pay for. The extravagant mansion and life style was insane. Seeing the workmanship is well worth it. The lunch at the Stables Cafe was a tad bit over priced but very good. There is a lower...More

Returned to the Biltmore after earlier visit several years ago. Just as amazed as I was then. Super impressive that Vanderbilt, Hunt, and Olmsted could bring all of that together in a relatively short time in the middle of nowhere. Plan on several hours even...More

Gorgeous views, a collection of art by well known artists and amazing foreword thinking by George Vanderbilt in the design. Driving through the grounds would be lovely any time of year. I wish I could have been a guest when it was a private residence....More

Yeah, it's pricey, but this is quite a place to see and worth the price of admission. We only did the basic ticket and that was fine for us. Wine tasting is just ok....but we're pretty picky about wine. The grounds are expansive and amazing...More
