We stopped here to eat lunch in the picnic area before taking the shuttle to Bandelier. After leaving Bandelier we stopped here again and went to the Overlook. What a beautiful view. There are ball fields, soccer fields, a dog park, picnic area, and overlook....More

This is well worth the little extra drive it takes to find. The views across the Rio Grande valley are spectacular and expansive. It's probably the best spot in Los Alamos/White Rock to gain an appreciation for the enormity of the landscape, the impressiveness of...More

Driving through the neighborhood to get the overlook, we wondered if we were headed in the right direction. We were so glad we took an extra few minutes to detour off the main road to see this amazing vista. Lots of people taking photos of...More

Beautiful overlook. Perhaps best to go in the morning or late afternoon to get more dynamic photos. Watch for sign to find it, because you go through a residential neighborhood and a recreational park--just keep going straight. It is a 10 minute stop. good to...More

This overlook gives you fabulous vistas in all directions. There were picnic facilities available but we just stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the scenery and take photos. It is well worth the hunt to find it!

Everyone was right, getting here is certainly a challenge, but the views are spectacular... just below us on the river were a group of rafters... made the view that much more spectacular

We were staying in a motel across the street from the parking lot where hikers pick up the bus to Bandelier National Monument (you cannot drive your car into the park during high season). In planning our trip we did a lot of research and...More

It is definitely worth the short detour when going to Los Alamos. There is parking at the overlook. The view is down into the Rio Grande River and North and South. Inpressive view so have the camera ready.
