View the Stars at night or the Rio Grand during the day.

Nice little stop to take in the view when in White Rock. You can drive all the way out to the overlook and park. It was very quiet when we visited.

This is a beautiful walk along a mesa on the edge of town. The views are stunning and look up and down the river from a height of approximately 1400 feet. An easy level trail with many great views and photo opportunities along the way. One of the best town parks/hikes anywhere.

Amazing views! If you come to visit New Mexico any time of year this overlook is a must. No need to walk or hike just simply enjoy. I did not see any restrooms around but there is a little shopping plaza before you reach the overlook. Enjoy!

If you are driving from Santa Fe to Bandelier National Monument, leave time for a detour to take a few pictures overlooking the canyon of Rio Grande. If you are staying in White Rock or Los Alamos, ask a local about the hikes from Overlook Park down to the river.

We visited the White Rock Overlook Park 2 days ago, following directions on map and GPS. We drove through a residential area, past ballfields, in a flat area, thinking we had made a terrible mistake. At the end of the road, we came to one of the most spectacular vistas I have ever seen. Waterfalls, rivers, amazing mountains with a... More

Is a very short walk to the overview from the parking lot. Put the address into a GPS to make your way through the neighborhood and park to get to the parking lot. don't forget your camera.

This place is a natural wonder, a mini Grand Canyon shaped by the Rio Grande, which still flows amidst. An easy visit well worth the time, even for those who have difficulty walking (wheelchair-bound, etc.). Might be romantic, especially for geologist or paleo-scientific couples! Meanwhile, kids will absolutely love it. Try to avoid the commentary by the casual guide in... More

There are a couple of waterfalls down there! Views are great of surrounding mountains. There is a hike available to Rio Grande.

Love our walk here from our friends home it is always beautiful and our friends constantly have a new story to tell us about the view and the mountains and the water and their hikes here. We planned to come here at night just to take in the planets and the sky but the night we wanted to come it... More
