This is strictly a place you go to trek through the forest. There are parking spots and then trails out into the unknown. There aren't picnic tables and grassy areas for a respite from traveling. The park is quiet and beautiful and gives a person...More

Great little park, just be careful- after some storms they haven't gone in and cleaned up, so be on the lookout for broken boards, lots of water crossings, and some downed trees. We went rucking through the Heritage Trail/Turkey Run 3.7-mile loop, and on the...More

It was a beautiful day for a walk in the park. However, if you expect an easy and relaxing walk, where you can go side by side with your friend and chat, this place is not for you. Turkey Run Park has two major trails....More

This is a wonderful spot to take a hike by the Potomac. Serene and quite and not crowded, especially on a Sunday morning.

Park at C1 area and go for the Turkey Run Loop trail. About 1 mile of a pleasant trail, getting close to the Potomac river. Not recommended after a heavy rain.

We loved this beautiful place. This is the second visit here. Of all the nature with flowing water we pick it as a family favorite.

quiet, secluded, lovely place to walk. I go for runs there with my dogs a lot. There are not a lot of people so I would not go alone as a woman

Rustic, wooded park. So close to DC yet you are so out in the woods. There are some steep walks to climb down and rock ledges going down to the stream that runs through to the Potomac River. Grandma might not like it but the...More

We just spent a Sunday afternoon here for a picnic and a walk with the dog. Since it's located right off the George Washington Parkway we were extremely surprised that there were so few people there. The day was lovely, it was a weekend and...More
