Nice creek and Potomac River hike. Birds, frogs. Waterfalls. Sadly, too much litter. Dogs ok. Folks don't puck up their dog poop bags, picnic crap. Be more considerate when you hike.

Stumbled across this little gem with my daughter. A beautiful scenic trail...very family friendly, not too hazardous. It was a very easy trail with a lot of natural beauty.

What I love about this hike is the reward: although it isn’t a big one, there is a waterfall at the end of the hike.

A nice short walk - parking can be tough and the stream crossings can get your feett a little wet. Lots of dogs.

This is a delightful nature preserve. I like it better than going to Great Falls National Park because it is easy to get in and out of the parking lot (which unfortunately is too small), and you don't sit in traffic like you will at...More

Local VA park with good walking paths that lead to a waterfall (and fishing spot) on the Potomac River. I used to walk my Bernese Mountain dog there and, in winter, could let him off to run in the snow (shh). This is not the...More

Unfortunately, a lot of trash has been left at the falls and surrounding area which really detracks from the whole experience. It's sad. The water below the falls (which it is a small falls) offers a super spot for dogs to swim.
