The rains over the last 4 yrs has helped this lake immensely. Picnic and swimming behind dam is good. Roped area for the kiddos, bottom is sand. Picnic areas, but get there before noon on Sunday, it fills up fast. Boats are back on the...More

My family enjoys lake Meredith many times throughout the summer. We have a great time boating, playing on the jet ski, and fishing.

Part of our summer vacation must include swimming. With Alibates monument down the road, we had to swing by and get wet. Water was cool, swim area was clean and safe, staff in area were knowledgeable and respectful. Great get away in North Texas.
