Looks like this is a wonderful activity. We went to Union Square prior to appointed hour and waited - and waited. Decided to call, although flyers state no reservation required, learned from recorded message tour hours were quite dramatically altered from those advertised and there was no tour that day. Take away is this - they may advertise no reservation... More

This is an important point! Effective 11/1/16 the Victorian Home Walk tour is open three days a week, Monday, Friday and Saturday. The website, brochures and recorded message were all updated with new hours. However, there may be some old brochures still circulating with old hours. I am sorry for your inconvenience and hope you will take the tour another... More

The tour was not overly strenuous and you could say that it was leisurely in nature. That said, it was amazing how... More

I cannot say enough good things about this tour. We met Jay in Union Square which was right across the street from our hotel. We were the only people on the tour that morning so we had Jay's full attention and enjoyed him immensely. He is an excellent guide and very personable....so much knowledge about the area and the homes.... More

Jay was very personable and knowledgeable as he guided our walk through the Victorian homes in San Francisco. It was a pleasant 1 1/2 hour walk outside of the regular tourist sites.

We did this walk about 10 years ago. It was good then, even better now. We enjoyed a small group of 4 on our tour. SF was beautiful on this October day. We learned off-season tours are very good. Learned of 3 types of Victorians, what an Edwardian bldg is, and what smothering a Victorian means. It will be fun... More
