Good popcorn

The funnest thing about seeing movies there is they tasty popcorn and how they serve it. It makes it more fun.

Noisy homeless people kept us awake almost all night. There are double-paned windows but they do not fit in the space well...there are gaps. You can hear all street noise clearly. Very dodgy neighborhood. My son was offered drugs on his way to the car. Overpriced. Uneven floors made me doubt the structural soundness of the building. Would not recommend... More

For the price we have payed for this B & B, we would have expected cleaner rooms. No matter what the owner's story in the 60s and 70s was, she is responsible for a clean bathroom and bed as well as a good breakfast. Both aspects did not meet our expectations. The toilet in the bathroom was not flushed as... More

I stayed in the Rainbow room and it was clean and comfortable. No signs of any bugs nor did I hear any customers(we met a lot) complain. So, maybe the reviewer is thinking of a different hotel. If a hotel does have them, you will get multiple complaints--not the case here. I even brought my 12 y.o. daughter for the... More

DANGER!! BED BUGS!!! BED BUGS!!! I stayed at this place last year. It was an awful awful experience. The decor seemed really cool and funky, but as my girlfriend and I soon discovered, the room was infested with bed bugs! There must have been hundreds in the room, I had over 50 bites on me after that night. After the... More

Stayed here 3 times because they make you feel like family. It's a theme hotel based on the 60s Hippie movement in S.F. and(if you're old enough) it's like going back to a better time. If you get to meet Sami Sunchild(owner) and learn her story--you'll never forget her. I meet old hippies that bring their kids here to teach... More

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
