Mai Tai was suggested by a friend and it was great. Small little vintage bar in Chinatown. Highly recommended.

Our friend recommended this place for a Mai Tai while we were in town. We liked it. Not your run of the mill bar, but more a loval dive bar in China Town. The Mai Tai was $11, but what the heck, why not? Tasted good. Family owned and run and we loved it.

Shockingly, an older gentleman serves as the only bartender is this very cool bar in Chinatown. Known for his killer Mai Tai's somehow this gentleman serves everyone in the bar semi efficiently. Good drinks. Cash only! Smart man!!!

Good Service, excellent bar tender on super busy Chinese New Year night. Do research on the history of the place. Cheers

Historical establishment in Chinatown offering a variety of cocktails and beer for a reasonable CASH price. There is an ATM at the front that charges a few bucks for the transaction should you be a plastic payer by habit like myself. We had the trademarked Chinese Mai Tai and a few Tsingtao's and spoke to the bartender while watching football... More

Buddha taking centre stage behind the bar. Friday night at 9.30pm and bar was getting busy with a youngish crowd. The bouncer at the door checking ID’s of the customers of youngish appearance. Music was good and not too loud. Drinks and cocktails were reasonably priced (other than water which was US$2 a glass – first place that we found... More

This is a cash only bar. Just a heads up before you go, which you should for a drink if you're in the area. We went because we had to see the little dive Anthony Bourdain enjoyed. It's small and could use some sprucing up but it has that Asian charm for a little hole in the wall place that... More

Where Kerouac drank and discussed the meaning of life beneath the Golden Buddha. A must for every fan of beat poetry. Go there, have a cold beer and think of where next on your road trip.

Went here for drinks after dinner at House of Nanking. Once inside, we found out that Anthony Bourdain has visited and given his stamp of approval. My husband may or may not have a man crush on ol' Tony, so he definitely thought that was cool! Great atmosphere, yummy (slightly pricey) drinks, awesome people watching! We had fun and would... Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
