This is what California is all about. The drive was beautiful. We took a tour so we could sit back and take it all in. The bus stopped frequently so we could take pictures. Don't go to San Francisco without doing this drive.

Felt like we were in a movie............ driving down the drive............. and the only thing better was stopping and experiencing all the wonders of it.

This drive used to be highly publicized, but has seemed to have fallen by the wayside during the past decade or so. Honestly, I can't understand why. If you follow the prescribed route, you will see 95% of SF's best attractions. If you did nothing...More

Yes, you could do inner San Fran by transit and on foot, but then you'd miss this scenic drive. One of our fav things to do!

We drove this tour with a friend who has lived in the bay area for 22 years. She bypassed some of the neighborhoods because she either felt they were unnecessary or the neighborhoods had changed and weren't that safe. Occasionally we had trouble following the...More

This is a great way to see all parts of San Francisco; however, traffic is exponentially worse now than it was when we visited several years ago, which can make the drive a little difficult and frustrating for those of us who are unfamiliar with...More

Would this drive be easy to do if pulling a 22 ft travel trailer? More specifically, would traffic be very busy and parking at the attractions etc. be doable? Or would it just be a nightmare? Thanks in advance!

Not with the trailer though. In SF 49 miles route everywhere are beautiful but Parking could be the Big problem. Why not stay in San Francisco then took different daytrips to enjoy all local attractions. Good luck!

There is a google map file for this route. I found it quickly on google, and you only need to download it and follow it on google maps.
