When I visited San Francisco the other week, I decided to make a trip to Omnivore Books (as we were going to be in the Mission District, an easy walk from Omnivore). Well, I stepped inside and was in my element! Cookbooks galore, both old and new. The staff or owner (not sure who I conversed with) was extremely helpful!... More

This is a cooks treasure chest...filled with all sorts of wonderful & interesting cookbooks, from newest to older. Many signed copies for sale. Attended a book signing here & it was cozy & enjoyable. Will be back.

My sister gets all my cookbooks at Omnivore. This year I am on a sweet path. Three dessert books. I will be seriously fat soon! A terrific shop indeed.

Loads of baking and cooking books - Old and New - this is a place where you can spend hours being fascinated with the various books to hand. The staff is very... More

I have wandered by Omnivore a couple times when visiting in San Francisco, but it has never been open (as it is usually late and I am heading for dinner). I made point this trip that I would get there at a reasonable hour and was rewarded for my efforts. The shop is small, but you could linger there forever.... More
