If you are into people watching, take a drink/picnic & spend an hour or so in the park ( like most locals seem to do ) on a nice afternoon. Good children's play area BUT be aware marijuana smoking is prevalent ( almost a must)...More

This is one of those places that if you have more than three days in the area you can visit. It has a lot of history and an interesting cemetery. Check out the ages of the folks buried there and you’ll see a pattern when...More

Lovely old church (I believe it's the oldest existing building in the City) with beautiful artwork and friendly docents. The graveyard adjacent is the resting place of a veritable who's who of early SF historical luminaries (and simple immigrants too)...Following your visit you can lunch...More

In my view, any time you're in a mission town, you should visit the mission itself; it's where the town, and California began and the more of them you visit, from state to state and within the same, you will also be able to better...More

Had a blessed, peaceful and healing time and pilgrimage visiting Spanish mission churches from San Diego to San Francisco - did 12 of the 21 mission churches. Priests and church/museum staff were very helpful.

Enjoyed visiting this bus mission. Folks in gift shop are helpful and kind. Self-guided tour. Takes about an hour to go through. Cemetery is so interesting. The first governor of California is buried there. Worth going to.

No, there are no audio or docent tours available. It is a self guided tour but they do provide an informational pamphlet. There are also signs posted at each station that you can read for a more in depth visit.
