This play is a masterpiece that truly warms your heart while at the same time sets your mind on fire with fascinating questions. And this production is outstanding. Run, don't walk, to see it.

I like it a lot. I really like the musicians on stage with the actors sometimes & how they switched instruments & at one point one of the play's characters was playing the fiddle.

The sound was very well done, a lot better than Oklahoma a few weeks ago.

This venue is ideal to become totally immersed in each performance. As new subscribers, we left “Indecent” in awe at the entire cast’s performance, staging, music, and the rain at the end of the play. This playwright has a gift, and we are so grateful to San Francisco Playhouse for sharing this gift with us!! We highly recommend checking out this season’s schedule.

San Francisco Playhouse calls itself "The Empathy Gym" for a very good reason. Their plays are very good and inspiring, usually giving a viewpoint that is new, and relevant to today's world. Their productions are excellent. The theatre is fairly small, all the seats are good. We love attending live theater there. Be sure to check the schedule to see what's playing when.

The ride up on the old hotel in a rickety elevator to be met by cheerful helpful box office and staff people is the beginning of what is sure to be a memorable theatrical experience. The play of the moment, INDECENT, is more than riveting-it is iridescent and an example of why we go to theater at all. We are part of a whole and a good play opens the blinds just a tiny bit to let a different light in. This theater seldom fails.

Having enjoyed Sondheim's Music from FOLLIES for many years now, it was an absolute thrill to finally see the Production, for which there've been only a few oppoturnities over the years!

I found it hard to resist singing along! The music was suberb, great voices and personality in all the performers. The staging and production was super creative for an intimate theatre.

Bravo, S.F. Playhouse for a truly memorable experience!

Follies at the San Francisco Playhouse was a wonderful birthday treat. The rarely produced Sondheim musical is quite a masterpiece. This production shed wonderful light on the story as it unfolded.I had only previously listened to. A very remarkable gifted cast and each one were splendid. The set, became a 'character ' as well.We were surprized and delighted that it did the theatre magic and then did another magic trick too. Bravo to the Cast and Crew, and the lovely orchestra!!! When was the last time you got to hear a score with multiple musicians, instead of a combo?the Score is a brilliant piece and the orchestral value just raised the evening to a spectacular height. good job to the team.

Fantastic play. Great cast. Great staff. Excellent and responsible COVID protocols at a time it's important to take care of each other. My mum and I saw Follies and it was GLORIOUS. I'm local and have seen other shows there I loved, too.

We went to the opening night of Follies and it did not disappoint. Great singing, such voices! The venue is medium sized but any seat is good, like Broadway.
Great wine selection and reasonable prices at the concessions.
I enjoy that they do such variety of shows and themes and the performances are top notch!
