Do not expect ammenities, hot dog stands, benches to sit down or equipment to do exercises. The path is not very wide, watch out for crazy bicicles! Bring windbreaker even in summer. Very cold breeze. Bring camera with telephoto lens to take pictures of the...More

It takes a good 1,5 hour from Fisherman's Warf to the Golden Gate bridge. It's a great walk when the sun is out with beautiful views on the Golden Gate bridge and the bay. Would recommend hiring a bike if you don't like the walk.

I'm lucky enough to have this area for my morning run and it's beautiful on a sunny day. Just great views across the bay (bridge and Alcatraz), peaceful place.

This place has lots of photo opportunities, hiking trails, bike paths, Fort Point, attractive flowers and trees and a cafe at the Warming Hut further along from Fort Point. You can walk on the bridge but it can be windy and certainly isn't peaceful with...More

You can't beat this beautiful walk along the Bay in the park with extraordinary views of the Bridge. Very popular with the locals, good place to walk a dog.

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.

There are a couple of parking lots in different areas along the bay, but I know for sure there is one where the parking is free. It isn't very big, so it fills up quickly, but it is free. It is right by Crissy Field and... More
