Beautiful views of the Bridge and Alcatraz

A great place to walk along, with lovely views of the Bridge and Alcatraz. Take a few minutes to sit on one of the many benches and enjoy the warm sunshine and the sea air.

This is a wonderful walk- but if you go, you would do better if you like dogs- cause they are everywhere- creating great spontaneous times for conversation. If the fog has lifted - at least somewhat- there are glorious visions of the Golden Gate Bridge- and if you walk far enough you can have a lot of contact with being... More

It's lovely to just go for a walk along the Marina, and you get a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you like boats there is a good variety moored along the water, and the view across the horbour is lovely especially on a clear day. You can also hire a bike or go jogging along the wide... More

Sunsets views are the best for taking photos of the Golden Gate and this is the perfect vantage point. Nothing standing in your way!

We stopped on our way to Muir Woods and jumped out of the car for less than 10 minutes on a cold, rainy, windy day. It was foggy and spitting rain, but it is such a great vantage point of the bridge and the city that I would highly recommend visiting. As a bonus there is a clean restroom facility... More

Bring water, a blanket, sunglasses, kites, jogging shoes, solo or company...a book..or bicycle. There are 2 to 4 lavatories accessible to the public between the St. Francis Yacht Club and the bridge. It's the best of San Francisco, especially during a regatta.

If you want to escape the noise und the hills of San Francisco, take a walk or ride a bike on the Golden Gate Promenade. You got the Golden Gate Bridge in front of you, the water on the side and if you lucky the sun shines from above. If you have some time, pack some Food and make a... More
