The camp for soldiers during the war. Not much to see but much history to appreciate. My husband and I never regret to visit this place and probably will recommend to our friends who can stay in SanFo a bit longer.

My big takeaway for Crissy is that people LOVE to bring they dogs there and not everyone picks up they poo. Be careful where you walk or sit down.

It's just a field with a strip of beach next to it. Good wind for kites. Get a picnic from the Marina Safeway and being your kites and a coat. If you are brave, go for a swim over to the piers. The water is not as cold as you might think. Spot the sandpipers running along and avoiding the... More

This place gets busy on a weekend and on sunny summer days. Lovely to take a walk along the water with a great view of the GG bridge on one side and the city on the other. Lots of dogs here too which is fun to see and mingle with

Crissy Field was actually a landing strip early the last century. Today it's a Wonderful Urban Park with fantastic views of the Golden Gate Bridge Kama Alcatraz, and San Francisco Bay. Great place to fly a kite too! From here you can ride a bike or walk across the Golden Gate Bridge as well. In good weather it's our favorite... More

We discovered this walk by accident and will make it a must whenever we are in San Francisco and the weather cooperates. In addition to getting some great exercise, the views are spectacular. You get a nice view of Alcatraz and the City skyline, but the best is the birds eye view of the Golden Gate. The walk seems to... More

I lived in SF for over a year and never ventured here. Well, on a recent vacation I made the journey, walking about 6 miles from Chinatown. It's a really pleasant walk, and the natural tidal pools and nature are a wonderful contrast to the surrounding city views. Of course you can see the Golden Gate in the distance too.... More
