This was a thrilling show displayed on the vast screen within the large dome. And it is 'free', already included in the main entrance ticket. To ensure that all astronomical details are right up to date, the guide intervened at one stage with some commentary...More

I want to start off by saying that The Planetarium is in Golden Gate Park across from the de Young Museum, not in the North Beach area stated on the maps here on Trip Advisor. Don't go to the wrong place. Although expensive, this was...More

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. There’s a variety of planetarium shows and they change seasonally. Never a disappointment.

This place is beautiful. Apt for kids but the adults will also have a nice time here. The best part is the movie which they show at the Planetarium. It is completely breathtaking and I haven't seen anything like that before.

Such a great place to bring the kids, and anybody for that matter. What a show! Mind blowing and so entertaining and breath-taking, and that's just the start. Sit back, if you can, and enjoy!

The best planetarium I have ever seen. Huge and wonderful. The show was great and I was really impressed!

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian

neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
