About
At the northwestern corner of San Francisco, there is a series of stunning views at every turn in this wild and windy trail. Hillsides of cypress and wildflowers, views of shipwrecks and access to the ruins of Sutro baths, a San Francisco specials memory.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This site was incredible! It was easy to navigate, but be sure to take a screenshot of the trails before you enter because there was limited to no service in some places. Dogs are allowed off leash in some places; I have no issues with this as the majority of the owners took great care with their dogs, however, there were a number that allowed their dog to wander in to protected and fragile habitat areas. I wish there were a few signs to try to dissuade this. It was great for bird watching; fun watching the species change from shore birds to forest species so quickly! If I lived in this area, I would visit this every week!

You won't need to read a review to determine if this spot is worth visiting. Just look at the pictures. If you plan to walk any distance, keep in mind that some of the hills are very steep and may be overwhelming if you are not in good physical shape. Do not bother parking in the Visitor Center lot if it looks crowded. There are plenty of other spaces on the street or across the street or futher up the street.

Beautiful location with stunning views! This is a great place to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle & bustle of the city and crowded tourist spots. A peaceful hiking trail runs through the forest and along the coast for a couple of miles, just note that it doesn't loop, so plan accordingly. We took an Uber to the Sutro Baths, hiked the coastal trail and then took another Uber back to Fisherman's Wharf when we reached the end. Beautiful scenery and excellent views of Golden Gate Bridge offer lots of opportunities for photos!

Lands End in San Francisco is one of the highly-requested locations by my clients for romantic, sunset photos. This is a great site if you go early or late. Mid-day can be rather crowded but otherwise it's one of my go-to locations for family, engagement, and post-wedding photos. The rock formation with a clear sunset in the background is epic plus the views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Sea Cliff neighborhood are very cool. Best! Chris Conner Photography

Beautiful views and easy hiking. A must for visiting SF - it is stunning to see the Golden Gate bridge and Marin County from here.

I'm a local and this is one of the best spot to visit, I'd say! panoramic view of the ocean/bay, and a very nice walk where you also will see a beautiful view of the bridge. I always take visitors here again and again.

Land’s end is a national park at the north western corner in the Golden Gate National recreation area. The windswept rocky shoreline at the mouth of Golden Gate has two main walking trails , a lower trail via Sutro baths & another at higher levels, giving fantastic views of bay & Golden Gate.
A Worth visiting place with stunning views!

I spent an evening walking the trails her, going from Sutro Heights to the old Sutro Baths. The views, the flowers the landscape, steps etc, so beautiful that I crossed paths with three different couple having wedding photo shoots.

Its a beautiful trail with amazing views of the Golden Gate bridge and the harbor. We couldn't do the entire trail since we had kids with us....but its very doable.

Gets hot with the sun out, so would take plenty of water.
