Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love North Beach so much. It's an amazing neighborhood with lots of tourism and restaurants. Lots of little cafes and restaurants, and Washington Park is really nice.

Colorful San Francisco neighborhood, famous for its little Italy, with nice restaurants. A bit too touristic though.

This area is still vibrant, still lots of people around living their lives and enjoying the good food here. Lots of restaurants, mostly traditional. It's a nice dense area with some good parks and some great architecture. Lots of history.

This area of San Francisco used to be a really nice area to Spend the Day with your family because of all it's Restaurants. and Walking pleasures . This area is Called Little Italy with Washington Park and the older Italian guys playing their Batchie Balls being rolled in the grass of Washington Park . The Big Reason why Drugs and Homeless People don't Hang out here is because of the Great Italians and their Powerful influence on this area that is Well known now for Some time .I would Feel Safe bringing my Family and Children here because of the Very Strong Italian People that do business in this area .and Live with their Families here too . To me , This is a Nice Safe Area to Come to , to Visit San Francisco's Charm of the Past .

A famous bard once asked, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways."

That's how I feel about North Beach. I have enjoyed its varied sights and offerings for decades now, and am happy to see the neighborhood busing again after the Covid shutdowns.

Every time I visit, I find something new to live, while sti cherishing old favorites. A place to get lost in, happily so.

We had friends visiting from CT, parked in a lot at the entrance of Chinatown where we toured. Then took them through my weekend shopping walks when I lived in Nob Hill.

So, Little Italy is right near Chinatown where we stopped at my favorite Deli, Molinari's that's been there since 1896.

It's a great neighborhood to stroll around, with many Italian restaurants and Cafe's. Love the tiramisu and cappuccino's that I always had. They loved the walking tour they gave them and highly recommend you see this area of the city!

Walked through North Beach on a recent visit to San Francisco, and found the architecture interesting and welcoming. Close to Little Italy, Chinatown, and Fisherman's Wharf, this will be the next neighborhood we find a hotel to stay in and use as a base of operations. Lots of great restaurants in a 5 block radius. Worth exploring!

This is the traditional Italian neighborhood. Well time has passed and neighborhoods change and the population here is mostly Chinese. Lots of well-preserved attractive buildings, a few gems like Coit Tower. Some old fashioned Italian restaurants. Walkable.

I like North Beach, so returned on a nice January day. I went to the Beat Museum and City Lights Bookstore. I explored the food stores such as Molinari Delicatessan. I enjoyed in general just exploring the area.
