It is true that it is an emblematic street for those who have seen it in movies, in some old videoclip or in photographs, but it is a visit that does not take more than 5 minutes, the street has this form to be able...More
The top of the crooked street is a great place for taking photo's of the city and bay. Wasn't brave enough to drive down it but the small yellow GPS tour cars looked good fun and could negotiate the 8 hairpin bends a lot easier...More
I began at the top of Lombard, took my pictures, then walked down to the bottom at Leavenworth, and took more pictures! Beautiful flowers and homes on either side. Lovely views of the rest of the street down to the water. If it hadn't have...More
So much fun to navigate this famous crooked street. The best photos are at the bottom of the street looking up at all the curves. The only problem is that there is no parking; we were lucky enough to book a Tour by Locals with...More

Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period
homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.

Hi, yes the street cars run along Hyde Street and there is a stop at the top of Lombard Street. There is a path down the right hand side of Lombard Street you can walk on, there is no actually footpath that twists with the road itself. Best views are from the top.
