We stumbled across this area on our way back to our hotel. It has beautiful flowers and is a unique place to visit. Great views of the city from the top. Would be fun in a car! Saw people on segways, pretty crazy!

We came upon Lombard Street by accident, on our way to dinner. It was so jam packed with cars and tourists that I found myself trying to get out of the area as fast as possible.

I don't know why this street was built this way but it is very interesting watching cars negotiate the bends on the way down the hill!!

Must do list. James Bond rode down this curvy road. Good photo scene. The walk up is very tiring and takes your breath but worth it.

My wife and I have seen photos of the street and also used as locations in some movies. It was a great experience to walk down this great street.

This is fun to do and have done. A lot of cars, the trip is short and but a must if in SF. Make sure your car brakes work

We couldn’t come to SF with the kids and not visit Lombard St. It’s such an iconic location. We took the cable car and got off at the top of Lombard. It was a mid-afternoon summer day, and the sidewalks were crowded with tourists with...More

Lombard Street was neither out of the way nor filled with traffic on the Sunday morning we went! There was almost no line to go down the street, and the views of the bay and Coit Tower as well as all the flora was beautiful!...More

We've been driving all over CA. I've had enough. I can't even imagine driving that road. We looked at it from Levenworth and Lombard intersection where you'll see more than cars. Lots of people! Everyone makes this a spot to see. Beautiful flowers and homes...More

Tram stops at the top of Lombard st takes 5 minutes to walk down, the best pictures are from the bottom looking up, it is a must see but that's it.5 minutes later you think what's the hype.

Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential
neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner.
Combined with several great cafes, restaurants,
antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any
visitor would gladly leave their heart in San
Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down
Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world,
and make the slow creep downhill past charming period

There are plenty of tourist sites to see in SF and this is one of many to considered a site to see. Keep in mind we walked from Fisherman's Wharf and it was a hike up I think 5 or 6 steep blocks, the type of streets you see... More

Yes it is possible. There are sidewalks, but it will be hard, the hills are steep.

There're buses/ street-cars at the bottom of the street but it's rather steep walking down few blocks to catch the public transport so do take it easy & wear comfy walking shoes & enjoy the view.
