If you are visiting from out of town (we were) and have children 8 or younger .... this is a GREAT place to visit. If you have an older child (8+) have them go to the stop motion area as they could spend hours creating...More

Travelled to San Francisco with wife and children (boys aged 1 and 3). This place was fantastic. Not too crowded, amazing range of creative play activities. It was a highlight for our 3 year old. Definitely worth a visit if you have children.

This is a lovely open air play area, with many installations geared for different ages of kids for active play, artwork, pretend play, etc. We were there with 2 7yr olds and 2 5 yr olds, and we spent 4-5 hrs there including lunch. There's...More

We visited during a holiday to SF. There is a range of activities, including dressing up, foam building blocks, kinetic sand, animation room, sing along, programming robot toys with code using a tablet computer. The is also a beautiful and historical carousel beside the museum.

I've been here before but I think they have added to the facility. Seems like much more, or at least better, than before. Great venue for kids to try new things - from simple drawing to robotic programming. Staff very nice and helpful. Often crowded...More

Your review makes me so pleased, it is exactly our aim to provide a multi-generational experience that involves young children and the adults that care for them. Please bring your grand-daughter often.

We had a great time with all of the different things you can do at the Creative Museum. My son loved the robots you could program and for 5 picked it up faster than I did. They have foam blocks which was busy and seemmed...More

To the staff's credit, they change many of the activities; we were here about 16 months ago and there were several new and delightful activities that captured our two grandsons' attention and interest -- including making a video out of clay figures (they call it...More

It looked more like a daycare, usual toys and play stations. First floor is more for kids aged 1-2 and second floor for kids 4-5. Only cool thing is that you can record a green background video on second floor. :(

Normally I think our 11 year old is too old for children's museums, but this is the exception. We got in free with our reciprocal membership from the museum in our hometown. Went straight to the video room and had fun watching the kids make...More
