Concerned Twin Peaks Resident wrote a review 5 Jan

I've been a Twin Peaks resident for almost 5 years. Due to COVID and the closure of Twin Peaks Blvd, there have been many car break ins along the residential streets where visitors now park to gain access to the trails/peaks. The view is worth seeing (I live here and it never gets old!), but please DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR!!!! Visitors are targeted here for leaving their belongings in the car as they make a quick trip up to the peaks. Car robberies happen in seconds. One of our neighbors created a YouTube channel (channel name Twin Peaks Bvld) for robberies that he catches on his surveillance cameras. Please watch if you can. It happens in seconds and can (and will likely) happen to you if you leave ANYTHING in your car. These robberies happen multiple times a day, at all times of day, especially broad daylight. For many of these burglars, it is their "job." These robberies are organized. They work in teams and have cars on the lookout for people who have just parked and head up to the peaks. Then they drive by, case the car, break the window, take everything in sight and then quickly drive away. I feel so badly for those visiting San Francisco during a vacation to see the beautiful city, only to return to their car and have all their belongings stolen. I've called the police on countless occasions and comforted many visitors mourning the loss of their belongings. Some have even sustained injuries from trying to hold onto their thing as they are being dragged by the thieves' vehicle. I sadly witnessed this happen today, which compelled me to write this review. Please read this before you visit, and vote this review as helpful so that anyone who is planning to visit will read this. Peace and blessings to you!…

The views from one of the highest points in the city are splendid. But be careful about leaving things in your car as the car park area is notorious for car break-ins. Certainly don't leave anything in plain sight.

Pretty city views but this is a high crime area. Rental car window was smashed and lots of personal property stolen. The police can’t do anything about it. This photo is not worth ruining your trip and spending an hour at the police station

This MUST be done on a clear day. If its cloudy or rainy it will take away the enjoyment. We had an overcast day and could barely see the golden gate bridge. But it was still worth it because the view is spectacular. Since it is free it is even better.

We were so lucky, on our last day in SF we got to go to Twin Peaks and the weather was perfect! No fog just clear skies and beautiful views of the entire city. It’s FREE, no need to pay for a tour. Just drive up there and enjoy the lovely views!
