Easy way to get around from Embarcadero to Pier 39 or Fishermans Wharf. Occasionally a transient will board the bus and you'll be plugging your nose, but mostly it's a tourist transport. $2.50 for adults and good for several hours, be prepared with exact change.

The Market Street Railway is part of San Francisco's MUNI system, which is the best bargain in San Francisco. Get on any MUNI bus or street car, pay the fare, and get a "transfer" with is good for multiple rides (even round trip) for two...More

Great way back from Fishermans Wharf to Union Square when you can walk no more. Plenty to see on Market Street a well as the street is very long. Not too expensive and the ticket lasts 3 hours

A great way to see the city and get a sense of history at the same time. These old girls creak and wheeze their way along the streets giving you time to see the city.

While not the most direct way to get from Market St to Fisherman's Wharf, this is definitely a comfortable way to ride. The historic streetcars all have a character of their own. Riding down Market St to the Ferry Building is different than riding the...More

Don't forget to do the street cars, next to the famous cable cars. They use authentic and very old trams to go up and down Market Street. There is a second line bringing you to Fisherman's Wharf

Well can say if you ride this all the way you get a flavor of the whole of San Francisco and those whom live here.

Craftmanship before everything was made cheaply. These cars were from an era where quality superseded quantity and elegance trumped thrift. An example of what a non-consumerist society could be if beauty not money were king in amerika.

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the
city and is home to amazing architecture and views.
The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for
those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be
rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful
architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated
with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all
were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
