This was once part of San Francisco's skid row, but years after the bulldozer and urban renewal, it's now a lovely and lively garden surrounded by cultural institutions. Perfect place for a picnic, or just to rest your feet.
The Yerba Buena Gardens are located above the Moscone North convention center so it is a peaceful and relaxing getaway during breaks in the conference. The MLK memorial is here as well as green space, flower gardens and a small restaurant.
A great place to hang out and read or watch people. Some grass to lay in to get some sun, but most concrete and some water features. Clean and not vandalized, so I liked it. It says no pets allowed, which seems odd.

I don't see what the fuss is about. Too much concrete, too small to begin with and the part that is grass is obstructed by police barricades (have no idea why?!?) I would say it's a nice spot to take your lunch or to walk...More
