Spectacular views on either side make the GG Bridge one free attraction that'll leave a lifetime impression. Just remember, you're totally exposed to the daily winds drawn from the sea by the warmer inland regions, making this trip very chilly 360 days of the year....More

Great views from the bridge if you walk over. Plenty of parking but expensive. Take a drive under the bridge to the fort for some great photos.

Just as imagined. Been a dream for years and finally made it. Was lovely going over bridge, under bridge and along side of bridge. I really loved it.

There are many July 4th events in SF - best to check the SF tourism tips site for specifics - Pier 39 and aquatic park are the venues for lots of activities and the fireworks.

We hired bikes and cycled over, the advantage being we were able to stop and take photos of the views of San Francisco. When you get to Sausalito you can have lunch before getting the ferry back but be sure to queue early... More

I am not sure, as we were in a friends car. You may be able to contact tourism in San Francisco on their website, good luck, have a great trip!
