Great bridge We all got sillily excited driving over the bridge, which was crowded with pedestrians and cars. It afforded great views of the city. However be aware of the toll booths on the way back and approach slowly - my hire car will now...More

Took the hop on hop off buss to visitors center. Some informative displays of the bridge being built, huge gift shop, snack bar and restaurant. Easy access to walk bridge or bike the bridge. We have a great time, no fog and minimal wind. Bathroom...More

We parked our car in the parking lot at the north point of the bridge and walked all the way on the foot path of the bridge. The sky was partly cloudy. We were lucky to see sea lions on the foot of the bridge....More

The gate was wonderful as always. A little busy, but not too bad. Going across mid morning I believe was a good time, although, late evening wasn't bad either. Catching the sunset off the bridge was breathtaking.

Really cool but that picture of the bridge from Full House is a rarity. Most of your pictures are going to have fog covering the top of the bridge. Still can't get enough pictures of that bridge, cool to drive over and experience.

The best thing is to rent a bike at the pier and bike towards Sausalito and take the ferry back. Its a little windy and noisy on the bridge itself but the way over and back is beautiful.

We cycled across the Golden Gate, having rented bikes from downtown San Francisco. It was good to say we've done it but the wind would cut you in half!! Do not recommend cycling by the waterfront there or back as the gritty sand is tough...More

You can drive over it, but to really get the best views you should approach it on foot, or take a bay cruise that goes under the bridge. Have your camera ready! If you decide to walk across it be sure to take a jacket,...More

Personally I would do a Hop on Hop off double decker bus tour (Grey Line) and take the tour of the city which includes a stop at the bridge. Busses run about every half hour so you'll have flexibility to walk around. You... More

No you won't have any time to leave the airport and see it. Normally the approach for landings is from the east so you also won't be able to see it from there. However, if you're lucky you might be able to catch a glimpse... More

The bridges have different tolls & each Bridge has off peak & on peak tolls. So tolls vary a lot. That being said, each Bridge has a "fast pass" lane, a "car pool" lane, & a "cash" lane. Fast pass is an electronic way to... More
