2. The red-orange bridge is one of the most famous landmarks of San Francisco. Once called ‘the bridge that couldn’t be built’, today is the longest suspension bridge in the world spanning the Golden Gate strait between San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean. The bridge backed by the blue waters of the San Francisco Bay makes it a beautiful scene.... More

There is something about the bridge, when you first come around thencorner and get sight of it, ypu cannot fail but be impressed, if you ate lucky enough to jave a clear day, the views and photo opps are incredible, be sure to go again in the evening to see the bridge lit up.

Take an uber from San Francisco over the bridge and walk back to the Presidio. Amazing one mile walk you can see great views and can even see dolphins and sea lions swimming below!

The Golden Gate Bridge is as stunning in person as it is in person. It is an awesome photo opt. Around the visitor's center there are a couple of really good spots to snap the pictures. We drove across this trip, but I wouldn't mind walking or biking across sometime. I docked a star because of the visitor center. It... More

Rent a bike or walk over the bridge and consider taking a ferry back cross the bay. Make sure you view it at night for some great pictures.

My friends and I rented nice bikes and did the tour from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito. Amazing! A great landscape. By bike you have the perfect pace: Not too slow as walking and not too fast as driving a car. The view is beautiful and the road is pretty flat. There are some hills but nothing that difficult. I strongly... More

There are many places around the city for catching a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge. But it is particularly fascinating to see it up close. One of the easiest and cheapest ways is to take the 28 MUNI bus which stops at the Visitors Centre near the southern access to the bridge. It is then just a few... More

We walked the Golden Gate Bridge during our trip to San Francisco and it is the only way to see it. Views are amazing! There are so many photo ops along the way and it is an enjoyable walk across the bridge and back. I would highly recommend taking the time to see the bridge this way!

The Golden Gate Bridge is named after the strait of water which is straddles. The colour can about when the builder saw one of the works painting on rust preventer and liked the colour. So he did some research and made a submission to the relevant board and hence the bridge has forever been "International Orange". Against an amazing blue... More

It's hard to imagine how massive this bridge is! Truly a modern wonder that is not to be missed. Highly recommend!
