Rode a bike across... lots of fun and the bridge looks spectacular. Couldn't give it 5 stars as it wasn't life changing and tbh I think the bay bridge is just as good to look at. It was fun to visit fort point on the ride to and read about how the bridge was made. A must do, as it... More

Probably best to cycle over the bridge to Sausalito on a sunny day, lovely views and doesn't take too long.

We had a booked tour with a guide. What an experience. Whew we were all grandmothers and we thought lets bike over the bridge. That was hard yakker and along way but our lovely guide waited for us 4 times. When he realised we were grandmothers he congratulated us on a journey well done. This was one of the highlights... A must see for the experience, only a short distance from city and Sausilito on other side of bay. Well worth the trip to see it.

When completed in 1937, the San Francisco Chronicle wrote that the Golden Gate Bridge looked like a "35 million dollar steel harp." And what a beautiful harp it is! I cross the Golden Gate Bridge several times per week in sun, rain and/or fog. It never gets boring. When the wispy white fog wraps around the orange suspension cables, the... More

The Golden Gate Bridge is a sight to see and it's even more amazing to stand under the enormous red towers and to see the city from an amazing view point. There are downsides and they're severe. The wind is brutal and there's little to nothing to block it. The traffic noise can be disturbing if you're sensitive to loud... More

They know how to build it right. Their was a lot attention to detail. The views are incredible. Once in your lifetime cross it and be awed.
