Quite e difference... Still crowded with the eclectic shops but most with a millennial twist. There was still that certain residual aroma that wafts down the street from an anonymous source. Brought back memories and a smile...

The Haight Ashbury's claim to fame in this day and age is that it was the most popular hang out of the Hippies and the original Flower People back in the '60s and '70s. There are many eateries, souvenir shops, and memorabilia of different kinds on sale. You do bump into a few modern day Hippies. The wall murals are interesting depicting the music legends of those faraway days. It's worth the walk and you can spend an hour- or much more- depending on your level of interest.

Haight Street has changed over the years. It is just a shadow of its former self. It is now a more trendy street and caters to tourists. Yet, it is enjoyable to walk. It has a good collection of shops and used clothing stores. There are restaurants, bars, and coffee shops mixed in. It is basically family friendly these days and somewhat clean. The Whole Foods at the end of Haight Street is a good place to grab some food for a picnic in Golden Gate Park!!

We went to Haight-Ashbury and enjoyed exploring it. Its a nice area, with unique features and stores. Its where the hippie generation had a major role. It is where one will see huge legs hanging from a window. One will see intriguing wall murals. You will see the corner road side of Haight-Ashbury. There is the former home of Jimi Hendrix. There are fun stores to go to such as Amoeba Music, There are restaurants and cafes such as Cha Cha Cha.
