Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This indoor-outdoor mall and entertainment center used to be hopping, especially at the end of the workday when everyone from the accompanying office buildings went to happy hour, to dinner, and out to do a little shopping. Then Covid hit, the offices emptied and they haven't refilled, so the plaza is quiet. The design is very pleasant so I hope it comes back to life.

The centre is huge and I believe has well over 100 shops inside. Good for entertainment as well. Some nice restaurants also.

Back when lots of people went to the office downtown, this office/hotel/shopping complex was hopping at lunch time and after work. Not so much anymore. Still some of the restaurants and bars hang on. And I think it is an appealing development from a design perspective.

I did work here one time and way back then the shopping area was full of stores and the bars and restaurants were full after work. Times have changed and a lot of the shopping is gone. The architecture is still iconic. The lights at Christmas are special.

The parking at Embarcadero Center is a must for us when visiting the city and/or the Ferry Building. So easy, convenient and affordable!

We have a plug-in hybrid EV that takes 2.5 hours to fully charge on a level 2 charger. The EV charging stations in Embarcadero Center parking charged us $300.00 for what should have been at most $8.00. The rates are (according to the phone you have to use if you're not on their service provider) is $2.00 for the first 4 hours, and $6.00 an hour after with a $20.00 "deposit fee" (that was never refunded).

This is a wonderful and amazing shopping center in the middle of downtown financial district. I was stunned by the architecture. It is a great place for lunch, happy hour, dinning and shopping. It has very elegant and fancy restaurants and hotels there. And overall it’s a very nice shopping mall. Make sure you go up to the second floor and you will get a great view of Ferry Building and Bay Bridge. And there is an Abstract Art Works there and nice water fountain. It’s a unique experience just walking though there. Get your camera out and ready for some great building and modern architecture shots.

Take Bart train exit at Embarcadero station (you are within 2 min walk). If you are coming to East Bay, make sure you visit this shopping center,

I once worked here and it was a joy to wander through the shops at lunch time, and then maybe pop into a bar for happy hour. And there are a few good restaurants. The design is classic 70s urban renewal, a nice harmonious collection of a hotel and some office buildings that look like books in a library. Good design.

While there are some shopping options, I always visit the Embarcadero Center for the food. Wide variety of options has always left me satisfied.

From a photography viewpoint, the unique thing about this shopping area is the multi-story tall lotus like structure in the open area in the middle of the building next to the Embarcadero Plaza. Other than that, there is not much to see or do here, and probably as a result, the place was relatively quiet with not much tourists. Unless you are interested in shopping or eating in the restaurants here, there are better places in San Francisco to spend your time.
