Food and seating tables
Feb 2020 • Couples
Went for a concert this past Friday. For those looking for information on food and seating, if you are the very first people through the door when they open, head upstairs to the left and there's about four tables where you can sit and still see the show from the balcony. There's also a bar in that area and another bar and food available in the Poster Room. If you are lucky enough to secure one of these tables, send one of your party into the Poster Room, there's a variety of bar food such as nachos, vegetarian sliders, burgers, quesadillas, delicious cookies etc. Pay there and get a table number. They will send a server with your food back at your original balcony table when it's ready. Food service is only available on the second floor. As far as sightlines on the first floor in the ballroom, it gets pretty packed, and if you're small you might want to find a space up front. Tall people will have no problems from the sight lines from the back of the crowd.

Classic music venue that reeks of history
Jan 2020
Fun and easy place to see a show, if you don't mind standing. Easy to get in and out, large bar on premises, and just stuffed with historic posters and photos of all the legendary bands that have played here.Giant chandeliers in the main concert room are iconic.

Great Venue for Concerts and a Little Rock History
Jan 2020
After all these years, I finally made it to the Filmore for a show. What a great venue. It's not especially large, holding around 1,000 so the shows are way more intimate. We saw Randy Houser and it was a great choice for a small show. The sense of history is all around. There are posters in the foyer. And, upstairs, there's a poster room covered in classic rock posters. They had a musician playing in the room before our show.

The service is great. Many of the staff seem to have been there for years and they really care about the place. And the patrons. The beer selection is good and fairly priced. And, when you leave, you can partake in a Bill Graham tradition--red apples to go.

Great venue for a concert
Jan 2020 • Couples
The Fillmore has been there since the 30’s. Great venue, sound, lights regardless of what you’ve come to see. Be prepared to stand or get there super early for limited seating.

Historic Neighborhood
Jan 2020
This area has been diverse historically, once the home of Japanese-Americans, but they were removed during the war. Then migrants came to work in the war industries, including lots of African Americans, and it became one of the hearts of Black San Francisco. Now it has changed again. Come and stroll and enjoy the great architecture and the cool eating and drinking.

Came from England especially for this gig. I’m on crutches so arrived early. We’re given great seats, well looked after by all staff and great gig and sound too. Got a famous Fillmore poster too. Amazing place

Back to our Youth!
Mar 2019 • Couples
After we arrived at the hotel and got checked in, & on my girlfriend's suggestion, we searched Trip Advisor for music nearby and discovered The Fillmore. After calling them to find out what was on, we took a cab to the Fillmore, where a nice young lady (outside the entrance) gave us FREE tickets, to see a band called “Twiddle”, a (so-called) “jam band”.

I saw the Grateful Dead in 1970 in Winnipeg, Canada at the Trans-Canada Pop “Festival “Express”. Like "The Dead" Twiddle played long elaborate songs and towards the end of the show, a lot of Reggae music. They were really good musicians and the Laser, Strobing light show was spectacular. I remember thinking about being in my parents living room (when I was in High School) listening to a terrific album by a band called “Country Joe and the Fish”; The album was called "Electric Music for the Mind and Body", their first, released in 1967 and it featured four photographs of the liquid light show, presented behind the band, as they played; These were taken at the Fillmore! ...I'm really feeling my age now!

They have several bars inside, but few seats so we ended up standing all evening. It was OK though, as it's part of the LIVE experience!

A memorable and really fun night!

Classic Rock Venue for Indie Rock Masters TODAY
May 2019 • Couples
In the 1960s, this was where you could find Bill Graham presents. You would find Janis or Jimi hanging out here playing a show in old hippy, counterculture San Francisco. Those sound like great days. Today The Fillmore plays indie rock and the ticket is expensive. It's $50 or so and up for these tickets at the Fillmore. The atmosphere is homey. They give you free apples and posters at the end of the night. It's a classic San Francisco experience. I have seen Cat Power, Feist, Japandroids, Conor Oberst, etc. It's kind of a indie hipster yuppy venue. LOVE THE FILLMORE SF!

Went to see Robin Trower last night at The Fillmore. I always wanted to see a concert at this venue. We happened to be in town for a wedding, and were able to see the show. The venue is excellent, as was the sound.

Great historic concert venue
Jan 2019 • Friends
This place has a large open floor from front to back. They still have the original chandeliers. It’s all standing room only. It can get very crowded I like the poster rooms where you can enjoy the bars and seating areas. The posters are of the concerts of famous entertainers who have performed over the years. I saw Ozomatli which is a great venue for them. Imagining Janis Joplin and all the favorites from San Francisco. They have a bowl of fresh apples to enjoy in the lobby.
