Once you find the road to the land bridge this walk is worth a look. You also need low tide so dont get that bit wrong. The walk over is on sandy gravel and you can see some interesting sea life or dead creatures. On...More

Neat experience to walk out on the sand bar at low tide. Seems like half the town turns out for the experience.

As the low tide comes in you see a vast walking trail with water on both sides and an island at the end. Walk the trails to find a forest, during our walk we got to experience beautiful fall colors. Beware you know at what...More

If we had planned this better, it would be perfect to pack a light picnic lunch to enjoy on the other side of the Land Bridge. It is an easy walk to walk to and back and if you have more time and energy you...More

This is such a fun activity. Once you see the tide go out, it's time for a walk. It's interesting to imagine that you are walking across to an island where the water was high and will be again. We loved the warning signs reminding...More

Tides are low and you can actually walk to the nearby Bar Island. It was a great walk. Amazing for someone that is not used to being around ocean tides. The walk becomes visible and quite dry so you can literally walk to the island....More

We did this trail several times. Loved this trail. We watched the tide go out and the tide come in. We couldn't get enough of the scenery. This was beautiful!!

When the tide is low you can walk all the way out to the island. We spend quite a bit of time here. My kids enjoyed looking for shells, skipping rocks, we even found a baby crab. Would recommend seeing this if you are here

This was just something fun to do. You can walk across to Bar Island during low tide (1.5 hours before or after low tide) and then hike to the top of the mountain. It was fun walking across the sandbar. The hike up the hill...More

I tried to copy and paste a tide chart for you but it won't fit in this small space. You can google it though (or use another search engine). Just type in "Tide chart for Bar Harbor November 2016) and it will show you the... More
