So many different kinds of activities. This also gives you a chance to get out and stretch your legs just before you get there!

Disappointed they have put the 3D map in storage. We were told it was put away for the anticipated 100 year anniversary crowds last year but it remained gone this year. We had always looked forward to seeing it - it was so helpful to...More

I ordered several books and maps highlighting trails throughout the park, so I had an idea what I wanted to do. The park rangers were extremely knowledgeable and helped hone in on trails and times, etc. Start your day(s) at the park here.

The people there were very nice and helpful. You had to climb at least 50 steps to get there. I expected exhibits or maps or paper information, but there were just nice people to answer questions. Not really worth all the stairs.

If you are driving around the park yourself this is where you buy your pass. Watch the video and browse the shop especially for the short guide to all the places to visit, worth the $4.95.

This is the must stop before venturing out in the enormous park. Be sure to watch the entertaining film and talk to the well informed rangers. Go to the Acadia website as it has a tremendous amount of information.

Ranger team shared limited guidance. For some reason the movie (which is ok) doesn’t run constantly. Good for a pit stop if you had an extra cup of coffee before leaving your hote. You can skip this place, pay at the checkpoint and figure out...More
