We could have spent so much more time here, just watching the waves break on the rocks and islands. It was amazing, and mesmerizing. Don't miss this. It wasn't advertised much, but it was easy to find and well worth the effort.
My husband and I quickly stopped over after our visit to the Hukilau Markets at the PCC. It is about a 2 minute drive away from the PCC. Limited parking and found at the end of a small culdesac, but not many people were there....More
I would say this place is off the beaten path but it's just off of Kamehameha Hwy (83) to the east in the small town of Laie. Your not really allowed to park a car there but.... As for the views they are worth seeing...More
At the Laie Point State Wayside Park, the stop is all about the views--nearly 360 degrees of them! If you want to see (and photograph) the wild beauty of the North Shore, the Laie Point is definitely worth the stop.
If you are in the Laie area, do make the drive to Laie Point. It is beautiful there - you can get great photos. This is not a place to swim at all - very rocky and strong waves. We saw lots of big black...More
