One of the top Hawaii attractions includes the Polynesian Cultural Center, which features a 42-acre facility on the North Shore of Oahu. Founded in 1963, the nonprofit Center was created so that the students of nearby Brigham Young University Hawaii could work their way through college by sharing their island heritage with visitors. The students come from an area that covers approximately 12 million square miles of the Pacific Ocean.

Went to the Center which was included in my Go Oahu card. This included the villages, a luai, lei and the main show, Ha A breath of Life, Booked transportation through the center, reasonable. No problems but felt some time was wasted by stopping at a restaurant before entering the site (could have ate in Honolulu and left later). The... More

The fire show was amazing, the dance was amazing, the shows were amazing and also inclusive! and the food was to returned for (i swear if i ever go back to hawaii....) They greeted us with Lei which was a little itchy. Might be mostly because of the heat. We visited in the summer and it was very humid and... More

Great day here. All the employees here are so nice. We saw the shows in each village. The shows were great fun. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed for the Luau. The food was just okay. It was so hot in the building we didn't eat much as we had to get out of that heat. The wait for the... More

I booked my ticket without knowing this park is ran by the LDS church, which is super disappointed because I was caught off guard. Everything online is super subtle and I didn't realized this until I came to the park. For all those who doesn't mind this, feel free to come visit; but they could've been more clear with this... A great deal of insight to the Polynesian culture. Lots of touristy things, but much culture, history, and charm.. Many carving, weaving, decorate art processes. I would certainly encourage any visitor to Oahu to make this a must see. Things for all ages and all interest levels.

We enjoyed our time at the center. We went at noon but somehow still didn't get done with all the villages. The only hiccup up to our day was our luau dinner got switched to 4:30 and our show tickets weren't until 8:00. Fortunately for us our rental house was just a few minutes and we were able to come... Such a great introduction to the culture and traditions of Polynesia - the similarities and differences among the various island groups. A cultural amusement park. Kids and parents get a chance try crafts, make music and even try to dance. So much to see and do, you won't want to leave. Don't miss a visit here! And even better, our... More

We came here to do the whole day program. You just cant get enough of this place. This place got spirit thats for sure. Everyone is so welcoming and nice, made us feel special. Night show well worth watching. Food is good too especially that you can try out different polinesian foods on different islands. Gotta come back again

This was a most amazing day. I read all the reviews but I was still not prepared for our trip to the Cultural Center. We learned so much about the Polynesian culture found in the 6 different countries represented in the villages. The young people who are born into the cultures they represent are not actors and it shows. Sure... More

The Polynesian Cultural Centre is a good place to start if you want to learn about the culture and history of the indigenous people of Hawaii and other Pacific Ocean islands. Although a bit "Disney" in presentation and reasonably expensive to enter, the centre has a plethora of exhibits, one for each Polynesian group eg. Fiji, Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand... More
