We visited Lanikai in January of 2017. It was not extremely crowded and very few people snorkeling, which was surprising because of all the amazing coral right off shore. Parking was a little scarce, but once found, we walked about half a mile to a perfect stretch of beach for the day. The water was clear and calm with tons... More

We were married on this beach 13 years ago and after lunch at Buzz's, came back for a snorkeling reception. Still the best place to bring new snorkelers. Lots of Sandy beach for easy entry with fins on. Not as shallow as Hanama Bay. Parking on the street is tight so get there early and hang out for the day.

We came here in mid afternoon but could not find parking and almost turning around. But luckily, some time after 3 p.m the crowd started to leave and we're able to find a spot. There were quite a lot of dogs on the beach that day. I thought I came to a doggy beach. However, I enjoyed the views other... More

Lanikai beach is worth the travel from Waikiki, but be prepared to be totally frustrated about parking (or lack thereof). It's beside a residential area, and people are vigilant about tourists taking their parking spaces. There is no dedicated park or beach parking, you pull over, and hike the short walk from the road to one of the most amazing... More

Excellent beach, wonderful views. Great views of the moaks. A trail to the pill boxes is also on lanikai.

This beach is the best beach on Oahu in my opinion. Fairly private, but the calm waves makes it easy to walk in the water, snorkel, and play with the kids. Love, love, love it. Sort of tricky to get there and lacks parking though.

Great place to snorkel/paddle board, with crystal clear water. The sand is also white and soft for laying under a palm tree and reading a book. Definitely worth the trip!

The beach is lovely but parking is very hard-to-find and there is also no public toilets. It can take an hour just to leave lanikai beach.

This is a nice protected beach, so paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking are easy (when it's not too windy). Parking can be a bit tight. This is a great place to watch the sunrise.

Beautiful sandy beach. Very windy. Decent snorkeling not far from shore, though fish are "scaredy-cats!"
