My son loves trains, so we had to do this! The station is simple, but has a lot of antique engines & apparatus to see. The building next to the ticket office also has an impressive model train display, if it is open. Travel on this train is in open air cars, facing out to the left or right (for... More

We came to the train on the 3pm ride, because you can stop for ice cream. It is cool to see & ride a vintage train. I have been here numerous times. It is amazing to see all the new construction from year to year.

Hubby and I were always curious about the railroad tracks near our resort at the Ko Olina...after further research, we were happy to find out the is a group in Honolulu attempting to restore the old Hawaiian Railway!! And even better, you can take a leisurely train ride on Saturdays and Sundays along some of the coast line and learn... More

As a lover of trains this had to be one of those Must Do attractions. A peaceful meander through what used to be lush fields of sugar came with an excellent interpretive guide who explained everything you could ever want to know about the old working railway and how the 8 miles of track have changed sine the early 20th... We took our grandson on this railroad trip. Our grandson enjoyed going on the train and watching the sights go by, Views up until we passed Costco were minimal - housing developments , construction, costco. But the ride at KoOlina was pretty and also nearby the ocean. It was not the most comfortable seating so I would recommend bring a... More

Our group of 15 just loved this experience! Ages ranged from 7 to 62, and all agreed it was a good time – and only 1 of us was a train buff, before we went – many were converted on the ride ;) The volunteers running the event are a lot of fun as well! The train was literally full... More

This was a lot more than just a train ride that everyone enjoyed. The train station is loaded with history and improving the displays all the time. The train ride was an informative ride and included narration for all of the sites on the mountain and ocean side of the train with great views. A few things to note, first... More
