This excellent museum combines viewing an original sugar mill operation with outstanding and moving photos of Kalupapa. Recommend seeing this before taking a tour to Kalupapa.

The main attraction of this place was the sugar mill and the history behind it. It was neat to have a little bit of a tour of the place though I'm pretty certain not everyone gets that luxury. Lots to learn here.

The staff (one lady) went thru and made sure that we saw everything. She must had been a teacher. The restored sugar mill is eye opening.

My husband & I visited the museum in May 2016 while on an island tour. Interesting but small museum about the history of the island. Many pictures of prior inhabitants. You really get a feel for how life was not all that long ago for...More

We enjoyed a lovely evening here at a pa'ina feast, sampling dozens of different foods, and listening to authentic musicians and watching authentic foods. VERY different from the Las Vegas style luau at the Hilton :) The people were gracious and we felt lucky to...More
