Pros - longest time in the water than other boats that went out there. Tips for advanced snorkelers are at the end of this review. Cons - crowded. Also, the fact that they started the trip with guys selling snuba, cameras and other add-ons before there were any safety announcements or rules about being in a marine sanctuary says a... More

The captain runs a good ship. The crew was very attentive, and friendly with all the passengers. We were able to see humpback whales, and the tropical fishes of Molokini Crater. A brief green sea turtle tour on the return trip to the harbor was cool. The food was good and the experience overall was good fun.

We absolutely loved our afternoon whale watching and molokini snorkeling cruise. Captain John and his crew provided superior service and a great time for all aboard. We saw dolphins & humpback whales from the boat. The boat offerred ample seats in thw sun as well as in the shade. We saw lots of fish and coral in the crystal clear... More

This is a great snorkeling and if you're lucky, also a whale and dolphin watching trip, with knowledgeable captain, caring crew, terrific barbecue, and all the alcoholic drinks imaginable. For someone who doesn't drink alcohol, I felt bit left out, but got a homemade ginger ale as an antidote to mild seasickness. That allowed me to enjoy the pork Kahlúa... More

We did NOT get out to Molokini on our morning trip due to rough conditions. They took us to Coral Gardens instead, which paled in comparison to other places we've snorkeled in Hawaii. The boat was very crowded. Next time I would choose a smaller group tour instead. I also felt like they pushed really hard to sell other stuff... More

Aloha Erica, I am so pleased to hear that the food exceeded your expectations on board and that you were able to enjoy your trip. As stated we are always bound by the weather conditions and it is the Captains discretion as to the destination. Safety is always our primary concern when picking a reef site. That being said Coral... More

Aloha Chris, I am sorry to hear that you felt the boat was crowed and that your trip was rushed. I do want to note that in peak season we do take full trips. The Four Winds II is made to take up to 160 guests, we keep that number much lower to ensure comfort for our guests. This vessel... More

A great big thank you to captain Dan and crew for the afternoon snorkel tour on 1/6/17. The tour only had around 30 people on it, which made for an amazing time, not as crowded as it could have been. For those who claim a "bait and switch" happens, they are misinformed or just don't read the details of what... More

Our extended family of 14 pre-booked a morning snorkel tour of the Molokini Crater - back in fall to fit in to our holiday. Our family has done other type tours and snorkelled in Mexico, Dominican Repuplic, Cuba, and Aruba. Lows - *Only real disappointment was not making it out to Molokini. Once we were out of the harbour and... More

We did the Four Winds II Molokini Snorkel Tour a couple days ago and it was our least favorite activity on Maui. What a complete disappointment! The weather was a bit iffy that morning, so I asked a crew member as I got on board if we were definitely going to Molokini. He said "of course". Unbeknownst to be, I... More

Aloha Mike, While we do our best to get to Molokini Crater on our morning snorkel (about 95% of the time), there are times that it is simply not safe. This is true of every snorkel tour operator on the island. We also never represent this in any other way on our web site, verbally or in any of our... More
