The Maui Ocean Center offers a surprisingly good experience, with many large tanks focusing on the sea life of the Hawaii region. The “Shallow Reef” tank is huge and includes remarkable coral displays; be sure to listen to the naturalist’s presentation (almost hourly, 30 minutes...More

I love ocean life and aquariums. I figured it would be average since they would like you to experience the ocean life by diving or snorkeling. I was wrong! It was a great learning experience and had beautiful displays. The gift shop was also nice....More

We enjoyed our visit to the aquarium. It didn't seem quite as spectacular as when we saw it 12 years ago however. It seemed like there were less ocean animals this time. The touch pool didn't have many ocean life in it. A few displays...More

We visited killing some time on our last day on Maui. The park and exhibits were very informative and well designed. The only reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars is the cost. An experience that takes about an hour should not cost $30....More

We have been to many aquariums. I would not say this one is the best, or the biggest. But, I don't mind visiting it again. The tropical fish are plenty and colourful. My older grandson loved the passport. He spotted all the stands and collected...More

The service and attention to deal that the staff put forward was fantastic. We got a behind the scenes look at the aquarium and their research and education. The shark dive was amazing to be amongst 18 sharks and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of...More

The place is a little run-down. A lot of the buttons for the kids to choose weren't working and it wasn't that clean. It was less than what was advertised as far as an aquarium.

I checked with my 15 year old daughter who enthusiastically said yes. The only ones I remembered were the ones they were raising that we saw in the behind the scenes tour. Enjoy!

3 hours is plenty. But if course it all depends on the kids attraction to the exhibitions.
