Discover, experience, and explore Hawaii's underwater world at Maui Ocean Center. Named Top 25 Best Aquariums in the U.S. by TripAdvisor, the Aquarium features over 60 exhibits with sharks, turtles, stingrays and thousands of vibrant tropical fish. The Aquarium is home to the world's largest collection of live Pacific corals, faithfully replicating thriving marine ecosystems in every exhibit. Journey from the shallow reef to the open ocean and encounter marine life found nowhere else in the world. A mix of indoor-outdoor exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive presentations allow guests to conveniently discover Hawaii's marine life in a single day that would otherwise take a lifetime of exploration to see. Explore the diversity of Hawaii's marine world without ever getting wet in breathtaking exhibits like the 750,000-gallon Open Ocean Exhibit featuring a 54ft walkthrough tunnel. Amply named The Aquarium of Hawaii, Maui Ocean Center is dedicated to perpetuating the Hawaiian culture and the relationship that exists between the Hawaiian people and the sea. This is a cute aquarium, great way to kill some time waiting on the plane. If you have young kids they will love this place. Very informative about the species of Hawaii. Very nice to visit

This year our family trip included grandparents, adult children and 2 children ages 7 & 9. We all enjoyed this Ocean exhibit, and remained there for hours. Thank you for helping us prepare the little ones for what they may see with their new snorkel...More

I found that the Maui Ocean Center was one of the best Aquariums I have seen. The exhibits we're clean and bright. A fun place for kids to see a variety of sea life. There are a couple of interactive displays that weren't operational.

Too much to see on one visit. All displays were well done. The grounds are well kept and the animals appeared to be well taken care of.

I’d say that this is only worth it if you have kids or have never been to an aquarium before. There are some interesting exhibits, but it was a fairly small place compared to other aquariums I’ve been to. If the price tag was cut...More

This is a fantastic little aquarium! Well worth the money and time to take the kids, but be sure to do the 'behind the scenes' tour as that really adds the punch to the whole experience.

I checked with my 15 year old daughter who enthusiastically said yes. The only ones I remembered were the ones they were raising that we saw in the behind the scenes tour. Enjoy!

3 hours is plenty. But if course it all depends on the kids attraction to the exhibitions.
