There are so many options when it comes to doing tours, especially at Haleakala. But, this one has to be the best. Our driver and guide - Joe - was sensational. He was so personable and knowledgeable, and gave some terrific tips that allowed us to make the most of our excursion. For $200, it was well worth the sunrise... More

We went here on our first morning because we were already jetlagged from the flight and we had to check in at 3:15AM. Our tour guide (Remy) was very friendly, informative and funny. We took a van with the rest of the tour group up to the top of Haleakala with our bikes mounted to the top. We had to... More

This was a highlite of our honeymoon. You are able to witness one of the most amazing things you will ever see. You travel up the mountain with a tour guide (yes getting up very early is worth it!). You witness the majesty of a vertical sunrise over the top of the clouds. Haleakala is ABOVE the clouds! Dress warmly... More

Perhaps to spite the rain, Jacob gave us a great tour up the mountain and kept us entertained while we waited for the sun to rise. Expect a bit of rain, take their jackets, pants and backpacks and enjoy the ride. Like so much in Hawaii, it's the journey not the destination. Great recommendations from Jacob for our trip down,... Great experience. We did not have the best weather but the trip was still excellent. Nothing you can do about the weather. One of the only self guided tours lets you set your own pace and create your own trip. All equipment was great and fit well for the entire family from adults to teenagers. Pick this tour. Special thanks... More

My girlfriend and I are not morning people, so waking up at 2 am to drive an hour from Napili to Paia didn't exactly feel all that great. But Jacob, our tour guide, made our (very early) morning actually enjoyable. He's a funny, entertaining and easygoing dude, and knew a whole lot about Haleakala and Maui in general. His guidance... Maui Sun Riders has a perfect setup to get to the top of Haleakala and then venture down on bikes on your own. It was an ideal setup for our family of six adults. A van with a colorful and informative guide/driver took us to the top to look around the beautiful Haleakala National Park. We stayed there roughly 30... More

Just completed a 30 mile bike ride from the top of Maui's highest peak, Haleakala Volcano, after watching the sunrise with my new husband. Doesn't get much better! Amazing experience and would totally recommend. My bike experience is limited and I've never ridden on the road before but after a bit I felt confident. Shout out to our tour guide... More

The sunrise over the crater was awesome (and cold rug up!) However descending the crater on this self guided sunrise bike tour was totally worth the early morning wake up call! Sunriders provided the bike, helmets, backpacks and waterproof pants/jackets which came in handy for the few spot of rain on our way down - rain that in true Maui... More

This excursion is worth the money if you enjoy outdoor scenery and adventure! & Its self-guided so u can go your own pace!! Not much physical exertion needed & best on good weather days. Book the 9am summit tour and see the crater. The sunrise tour, though most popular, really isn't anything worth getting up at 3am for and shelling... More
